Autofunctions

Abstract

Autofunctions enable automated control of lighting parameters like Dimmer, Iris, Focus, and Zoom based on real-time tracking data. Using the integrated Wizard or the Autofunctions App, users can define zones and trigger effects - such as dimming or focusing - automatically as performers move through space, enhancing precision and creative flexibility in show design.

Autofunctions are used to create zones for Fixtures allowing control of Dimmer, Iris, Focus and/or Zoom based on tracking information.

They allow for tracking to control automations like: Dimmer fading off when exiting the stage, Iris closing or opening when moving upstage to downstage, a gobo coming into Focus when entering a platform etc.

Workflow
  1. Create a Zone with the Wizard or App

  2. Set the Scene in the Live View

  3. Set the Tracker Merge Mode to Auto-6 or 6M

  4. Assign a Fixtures in the Zone to the Tracker
