System Overview

zactrack is an automated tracking system and can work with other position data.

Positional data is calculated via Two Way Ranging Ultra Wide Band technology built into the anchors and trackers making up the system’s hardware. The anchors are hung on static hanging positions asymmetrically around the room to create a 3D mesh within zactrack.

From there the positional data is sent out to control a vast network of 3rd party devices.

System Structure

The server is the core of the zactrack system. This is where all the processing happens.

The anchors create the mesh network, defining the space.

The trackers communicate with the anchors signaling where they are. The anchors then send this information back to the server to be calculated.

Functionality

zactrack has many different functionalities spanning across multiple departments. All functionalities have the ability to be used simultaneously. A few examples are:

  • Follow Spot

  • Trigger Lighting Cues

  • Immersive Audio

  • Video Integration

Integration

These protocols can be controlled by zactrack:
  • DMX

  • sACN

  • ArtNet

  • PosiStageNet

  • Open Sound Control (OSC)

  • Midi Show Control (MSC)

Deployment

zactrack has been deployed on shows around the world. It is capable in any environment from theaters, to arenas, to cruise ships, to immersive events. It can be used as a fixed installation as well as in a touring situation.

zactrack also contains solutions for scalability: PRO, SMART, and MINI. These solutions allow anyone the ability to add tracking to their show regardless of size and budget.

Security

zactrack meets the Ultra-Wide-band world wide radio regulations.
